At Brackin & Johnson we believe that our entire firms serves you as the client, not just the particular lawyer with whom you meet. We often work together on cases and provide a team-based approach to our clients.
Brackin & Johnson was founded by Julian B. “Buddy” Brackin in 1986. Baldwin County was a much smaller place then, and Buddy began with the same client-centered approach we have now, handling a broad range of legal matters for clients from all walks of life. As South Alabama grew, so did Buddy’s clientele. Stephen Johnson joined the firm in 1997 after his tenure with the Baldwin County District Attorney’s office. Stephen enjoyed broadening his legal expertise, and while he continues to practice in areas of civil litigation, probate and estate planning, and criminal defense, he has become one of South Alabama’s preeminent family law attorneys. Byron Brackin joined the firm in 2006. At that time, real estate litigation was his primary focus due to local market conditions. However, he soon became accomplished in family law, probate, evictions, and the rest of our practice areas.
